Arby's Overhauls the Fried Turkey Gobbler for Thanksgiving 2025

Arby's is giving its seasonal Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler a major makeover this year, adding stuffing and cranberry spread to transform the sandwich into something that more closely resembles an actual Thanksgiving dinner.
The fast-food chain has reformulated the sandwich to go all-in on the holiday theme, introducing two quintessentially Thanksgiving ingredients while removing the bacon, lettuce, tomato, and savory herb spread from the original version. It's a significant shift in approach—one that trades the premium turkey club concept for a more direct interpretation of holiday leftovers.
What's New
The headline additions are stuffing and cranberry spread—two flavors that immediately signal Thanksgiving. The stuffing is made with croutons, celery, onions, butter, and seasonings, while the cranberry spread combines cranberry juice concentrate and dried cranberries with sugar and corn syrup. These are the classic holiday flavors that many people crave this time of year, now available in sandwich form.
The 2025 version keeps the deep fried turkey breast and crispy onions that anchored the original, along with the swiss cheese. But it makes other changes too: the brioche bun gives way to a sub roll, and the herb spread is replaced with mayonnaise. Gone are the bacon and fresh vegetables that gave the original its turkey club character.
Differentiating the Fall Lineup
The move away from the turkey club concept makes sense given that Arby's also offers a Deep Fried Turkey Club as a fall seasonal item, complete with lettuce, mayo, tomatoes, bacon, and cheddar. The original Gobbler occupied somewhat similar territory—essentially a turkey club with swiss instead of cheddar and an herb spread instead of plain mayo. By pivoting to stuffing and cranberry, Arby's creates a clearer distinction between its two seasonal turkey offerings, giving customers a choice between a straightforward club or a full Thanksgiving experience.
A Heartier Sandwich
The new Gobbler is a bigger meal. It comes in at 690 calories compared to the original's 507, with total fat increasing from 21g to 28g. Sodium rises from 1,705mg to 2,130mg, and carbohydrates jump from 49g to 74g—the stuffing being a likely contributor to that increase. Protein goes up slightly from 32g to 36g.
Thanksgiving on a Bun
Day-after-Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches are a tradition in many households, and Arby's is essentially offering a ready-made version of that experience. Instead of a turkey sandwich that nods to the holiday, this is a turkey sandwich that fully commits to it, bringing together the stuffing and cranberry that define the Thanksgiving table.
The Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler typically arrives in early November and runs through the holiday season, though Arby's hasn't yet announced specific availability dates for the 2025 version.
